Pamela Sue Sholty, age 72, of Woodstock, Illinois passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. Pamela was born May 10, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Lucile Vogt (Wilcox) and Edward Wilman Sholty III. Pam graduated from Elk Grove High School.
Pam had an amazing smile and would spread joy to all around her. She stayed very active and enjoyed painting, ceramics, jewelry making, dog walking and bicycling. She loved Bingo and was known as the Queen of Bingo!
Pam worked at Clearbrook Center, Professional Business Systems, and Gandalf Technologies.
Pam had many proud moments in her life. She was particularly proud of getting her driver's license, standing up in her sister's wedding, and being in the Special Olympics for swimming and bowling. She was also in bowling leagues throughout her life. Pam was active with NWSRA and enjoyed many trips with her group to Seattle, California, Florida, Nevada and Minnesota.
She will be greatly missed by her brother, Edward Wilman (Mary) Sholty IV; her sister, Sharon (Curtis) Mueller; her nephews, Mitchell (Cassie) Sholty and Michael (Stacey) Mueller; her niece, Jessica (Daniel) Youngblood; several great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
There will be a visitation from 4 to 6pm on Friday, September 6 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. There will be a service at 6pm.
There will be a graveside service at 11am on Saturday, September 7 at Memory Gardens, 2501 E Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pam's name to NWSRA c/o SLSS, 300 W Central Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008.
