Matthew C. Rampe

Matthew C. Rampe, 63, of Crystal Lake passed away unexpectedly August 19, 2016 at his home. He was born August 12, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to David and Winifred Rampe Sr. He was a graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School, 1972.

Matt enjoyed walking, was widely recognized around town and made some very nice acquaintances at his regular stops. His family would like to thank those who showed him kindness along his travels.

Matt also loved animals, especially cats. He kept up on current events and was a Bears fan. He also loved his family and spending time with his niece and nephew.

He is survived by his siblings, David A. Rampe, Dan (Paula) Rampe, and Nancy (Jay) Adami; and his niece and nephew, Katie and Alex.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Thursday, August 25 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

Service and interment will be private.
