She was born May 9, 1929 in Buffalo, New York to Charles and Mary (Still) Froehlich.
Mary married Edward Styer of Buffalo, NY on December 24, 1950, and they relocated to the Midwest shortly thereafter. Mary and Ed purchased Camp Sarona in Northern, WI where they lived on 290 acres and enjoyed the great outdoors while driving her 1947 Willys Jeep, running the tractor and hunting. Mary was often referred to as Annie Oakley because she carried a 22 pistol in her holster.
Mary's greatest joy in life was her family. She shined as a wife, mother, grandmother, and was a nurturer to all whom she was close to.
As a young woman she competed in the roller derby and loved to go to the dance halls to dance. Mary had a variety of hobbies, including reading, drawing, cooking, gardening, and shopping.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edward H. Styer, her parents, and eight brothers and sisters.
Mary is survived by her children, Bud (Diane) Styer, Cindy Haynes, Randy (Jessica) Styer, Wendy (Ron) Troy, Laurie (Tony) Styer, Cheryl (Carsten) Gudella, Chuck (Christine) Graver; her sister, Shirley Hammond; her grandchildren, Kim, Jason, Megan, Courtney, Samantha, Valarie, Victoria, Elijah, Morgan, Kurt, Chase and Chad; her 14 great-grandchildren; and countless friends.
