Mary Margaret Lutz

Mary Margaret Lutz (nee Cowie) passed away peacefully October 27, 2022. She married her lifelong partner, Terry Lutz, in Chicago on September 11, 1965.

Mary had a passion for sewing, knitting, and quilting. One of her joys was presenting family members and friends with full sized quilts, crafted by her on a commercial machine housed in her basement. She was an early adopter of EKG technology and spent her career in the medical field. Her countless "children", dogs and cats, were always at her side.

Mary is survived by her husband Terry; her sisters Jean (the late Gerald) Evers, Joan (Dan) Manning; brothers Jim (Carol) Cowie and John (Donna) Cowie; and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Tom and her sister Anne (George) Hartman.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday, November 1 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
