Mary C. Hills

Mary Catherin was born in Sidney, Ohio on September 23, 1940.

Mary Catherin graduated from Anna High School in Anna, Ohio in 1958. She attended Miami Jacobs in Dayton, Ohio where she studied Business and met her husband Richard H. Hills. They settled in Crystal Lake, Illinois in the early 70's. She loved to garden, decorate extravagantly for holidays and volunteering at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

Mary Catherin is survived by her son, Richard "Rick" M. Hills of Chicago, IL and granddaughter, Gina Hills. Mary Catherin was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard H. Hills, who also passed away on November 19, 2020.

She was born to Frederick Inderrieden and Grace (Egbert) Inderrieden of Port Jefferson, Ohio, who are both deceased. She was one of nine children. Sisters, Ruth (Inderrieden) Coburn, St. Marys, Ohio; Carolyn (Inderrieden) Cotterman (deceased), Largo, Florida; and Linda (Inderrieden) Pruss (deceased), Largo, Florida. Brothers, Robert Inderrieden, Anna, Ohio; Ralph Inderrieden, Sidney, Ohio; Donald Inderrieden, Edgewater, Florida; David Inderrieden, Dayton, Ohio and Kenneth Inderrieden, Sidney, Ohio. She is also survived by many in-laws, and 17 nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27, 2021 from 4-7pm at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, Illinois.

A Roman Catholic Mass will be held on April 28, 2021 at 1:30pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, Illinois. Mary Catherin and her family were members for over 40 years.

Due to COVID protocols, flowers are not permitted at the church. Memorial donations may be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) McHenry County, 620 Dakota St, Crystal Lake, IL 60012.

A graveside service will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Catskills, New York on May 7, 2021.
