Jennifer A. Pierce

Jennifer A. Pierce, 50, of Algonquin passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. She was born July 23, 1964 in Akron, OH to Philip and Joanne (Kohnz) Urbank. On June 1, 1991 she married Bill Pierce in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio earning her Bachelors Degree and the Illinois Institute of Technology earning her Masters Degree in the early 90’s.

She worked as a software and systems engineer for Motorola and most recently for Intrado designing cellular and emergency network systems. She was proud of her work and held multiple patents.

She loved and enjoyed her family and her three sons, watching them play soccer, and listening to their musical talents. She sang in the choir at church and also enjoyed her dog Koda, quilting, gardening, scrapbooking, travel, and fitness.

She is survived by her husband Bill; sons: Nick, Mike, and Chris Pierce; father Philip (Ronda) Urbank; mother Joanne Urbank; sisters: Katie Urbank and Susie (David) Dempster.

Visitation will be from 3-9 pm on Thurs, Jan 15 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue from 10 am until the 11 am mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard Algonquin, IL. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Cary, IL.
