Gerald Leon Spiewak, 77, of Crystal Lake, IL was restfully called into the Lord's eternal loving care on Sunday August 29, 2021. He was born on October 22, 1943 to the late Stanley and Julia (Ksycki) Spiewak in Chicago, IL. He married the love of his life, Marilyn (Leski), on October 22, 1966.
Gerry 'Papa' Spiewak, in faith, shared his love of this life, family, friends, fishing, racquetball, golf, the Bears, the Blackhawks and all foods fine with his soulmate Marilyn (surviving), his children Brant (Lorie) Spiewak, Tadd (Danielle) Spiewak, Dana (Bob) Mangan. Grandchildren Spencer Spiewak, Chandler Spiewak, Connor Spiewak, Zack Spiewak, Sam Spiewak, Matthew Mangan, Jane Mangan, Ava Mangan. Dear sister Kathy Skinkis, sister-in-law Christine Spiewak, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Spiewak and brother-in-law Richard Skinkis.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:45am at Querhammer and Flagg Funeral home, 500 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014 . Memorial Mass to follow on September 11, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
