Don R Iversen

Don was born on September 21, 1940 the son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Betty) Iversen in Chicago, Illinois. After Don graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School he began his HVAC career at Sherman Mechanical in Crystal Lake where he retired many years later. He married Sharon Iversen on June 3, 1967 and spent 56 wonderful years together until she passed on July 11, 2023.

Don spent countless hours in his barn woodworking, metalworking, and restoring his 1923 t-bucket. He enjoyed spending his evenings and weekends supporting his grandchildren in their many activities and sports.

Don will be dearly missed by his sons, Jeffrey and Timothy (Brandee) Iversen; his cherished grandchildren, Madeline (Chris Elizondo) Iversen, Elizabeth (Blain) Muth, Andrew and Alexander Iversen; his favorite great-grandchild Aiden Muth; and his loving siblings, Donna Johansen, Sandra Thurow, Corky (Bonnie) Iversen, Deb Iversen; and many nieces and nephews. Don is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Sharon; and his dear son Danny.

A celebration of life will be held on August 27, 2023 from 12 PM to 4 PM at 680 Cress Creek Lane, Crystal Lake, Illinois 60014. Please join us in honoring Don & Sharon Iversen. Please bring your favorite memories & stories to share.
