He was born January 23, 1945 in Syracuse, New York to Edward and Mary Louise (Bushnell) Heintz. David was a veteran of the United States Army.
David retired from Kemper Insurance where he worked as an underwriter for many years. It could be said of David that he was a Jack of all trades, and a master of many. His many interests included woodworking, cooking, photography, and trading stocks. He loved gadgets and tinkering with many projects. He was also an avid golfer. Music was a particular passion of his, having shared his guitar talents with his family from a young age.
For David, family always came first. He loved spending time with all of his family and especially teaching his grandson, Gavin, about all of his projects.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Dominick; grandson, Gavin Edward Dominick; and his sisters, Ann (Michael) Arena, Marie (William) Kolceski, and Carol (Charles) O'Brien.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; his parents; and his siblings, Paul Heintz, Martin Heintz, and Joan Allison.
