Charles Thomas Swire

He was a graduate of Crystal Lake South High School and Southern Illinois University.

Charlie was a caring, loving, humorous and selfless son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He was passionate about sports radio and Chicago sports, DA Bears and especially the CUBS!

He loved to travel around Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand where he lived when not working hard as a commercial fisherman on the Bering Sea for American Seafoods.

Charlie’s brilliant humor, uplifting Spirit and passion for living life will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. GOD BLESS TO ALL!

Charlie is survived by his sisters, Kathy Swire and Kristen Deegan; his brothers, Tony Swire and Larry Swire; his nieces, Mia Deegan and Enaiya Love; nephew; Quentin Deegan; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, August 17 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

There will be a celebration of his life to follow at Veterans Acres on Walkup Road.
