William Allen Bannister, age 79, of Lynwood, IL passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances Bannister; six children: Jill (Brian) Kelly, Jon (Amy) Bannister, Jeffrey (Beverly) Bannister, Jennifer (Greg) Chihara, Jacqueline (Cory) Bletzacker and Jessica Bannister; sister, Patsy Bien; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., (one-half mile south of U.S. 30) Crown Point, IN with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Friday, December 8, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
