Thomas L. Gunnum, age 71, of Dyer, passed away at home on November 1, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children: Michael (Audrey), Thomas, Jr. (Traci), Daniel (Tina), and Sandra (Harold); one brother, Ronald (Marie); 15 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his son, John; and brother: Ernie. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:30 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN with Rev. Doug Klukken officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Thomas was retired from Bonell Manufacturing after 31 years of service. He joined the U.S. Navy at age 18 and served on the U.S.S. Whetstone.
