Robert W Halle

Robert W. Halle, age 84, of Fremont, IN, formerly of Hammond and Gary, IN passed away Friday, May 20, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Alice Mae (nee Boren); son, Richard C. (Dorinda) Halle; daughter, Doreen (Larry) Dommer; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Pat- rick) Jamroz, Nicolette Halle, Sean (fiancee, Cathy) Halle and Jason (Elizabeth) Dommer; four great-grandchildren: Sydney Halle, Seth Halle, Peighton Jamroz and Alyssa Kammer (Halle); step-son, Barry Bagford; three step grandchildren: Vincent Bagford, Alice Noel Bagford and Amarett Alice Bagford; one step great grandchild, Timothy Bagford; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Halle was preceded in death by his wife, Faye (nee Whitehead); parents: Alvin and Elizabeth Halle; brother, Donald (Evelyn) Halle; and step-son, Timothy Bagford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Pastor Richard Brown officiating. Interment will be private at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, May 24 from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Halle was a retired steel worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII (Disabled American Veteran). He was an avid bowler and enjoyed carpentry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's loving memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
