Patty is the loving wife for 38 years to Dan Semanick; proud mother to Brent Semanick, Brittney Semanick and Brianne Semanick; cherished sister to Lisa (Peter) Tanasijevic and the late Jeffrey Beck; beloved daughter to the late Sarah and the late Ralph Beck; aunt to Nicole (Jose) Ayala, Rada (Ognjen Janjus) Tanasijevic and Jason Beck; great-aunt to Lorenzo and Mila Ayala; kitty grandma to Eric, Lou, and the late Franklin.
Patty is a 1977 graduate of Gavit High School, where she held class officer for three years and was crowned homecoming queen. She studied at the John Robert Powers Modeling School in Chicago. She modeled at Woodmar Mall and met the love of her life in Calumet City. Patty was also an accomplished writer, publishing three poetry books, and a creative artist who started her own business making Likey Lites. She had said that her proudest accomplishment was getting married to a wonderful husband and having three beautiful children who transformed into three beautiful adults. Patty loved slot machines, Cher, Wizard of Oz, and Pineapple Shakes from Dairy Queen. She will always be remembered for her thoughtful gestures and helping others.
Patty wanted everyone to remember that no matter what obstacles we endure, we can conquer and overcome.
Private family services will be conducted. She will be laid to rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens the morning of Wednesday, April 10th.
