Hard to believe it's been a year. Miss you brother!!

My sincere condolences to Pat's family and loved ones.  His passing is a great lost for not only you but for the many, many colleagues that had the pleasure and honor of working with him.  He will be and is already being missed.

Coach Damron was an incredible coach and person. He always brought energy and humor wherever he went. I am extremely grateful to have had him as my coach as he always pushed me to be better, on and off the field.

I met Pat early in his RR career at NS in Chicago. He possessed a very practical approach to work and a positive attitude. His leadership and energy were evident. Over the years we maintained a great working relationship. We have collaborated to work through multiple issues to make the industry better. I pray for comfort for all of Pat’s family, friends, and colleagues. I will miss my friend and value the memories.

My prayers go out to the Damron family.  Pat was a great person that always put his family first.  We had a great time coaching together at Lake Central.

It is with great sadness that I express my deepest sympathy to Ronald & the entire Damron family with the untimely passing of Patrick!  I have such warm & cherished memories of our years together in Lansing as close & caring  neighbors.  Our kids were best friends- & we’re all feeling such a deep void.  Rest in Peace, Patrick & God Bless🙏

I was fortunate to work for Pat in the OP Division of FRA for several years. Pat and I had many discussions and family was always part of them. Pat loved his family and was very proud of the accomplishments his wife and kids achieved. He talked about coaching football also. He is one of the most compassionate persons I know when it comes to family and rail safety. He worked tirelessly in prevention of accidents and injuries of railroad employees. Whenever we had those serious discussions to try to solve all the railroad’s problem, he would end it with something we could reflect on about family. I will surely miss his big smile and laughter and his honesty about his passion for rail safety. God speed my friend and blessings for the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Meghan, Tatum, Brogan and family during this incredible loss. Pat was a bright light in this world. Don and I were blessed to know him.

I don't know your family but when I see an obituary of someone so young I usually take a minute to read through it.  I even looked at the photos posted here.  What an amazing life you all had . So many trips together, so many memories.
It is so obvious to me as an outsider what a horrible, horrible loss you've suffered.  Always look at the photos and keep those happy memories in front of you as much as you can.
You have my deepest and sincerest sympathies.

Pat, was a truly authentic human with a warming smile that was infectious. Working for him has been an absolute pleasure and he will be greatly missed. I met Pat when he hired out at Norfolk Southern Railroad. We both worked the night shift and we struck up a work buddy relationship. He and Meghan had recently married and she was pregnant with their first child. We talked about his future and responsibilities. I encouraged him to explore the RR industry further. He thrived and went up quickly. We lost touch for about 10 years. We reconnected when he was with the FRA and he encouraged me to try the FRA. Professionally, we were advocates for each other. We always maintained a strong professional friendship. 

He definitely loved his family and profession. There is a serious shortage of men of his stature. His personality was bigger than life and he possessed a heart of gold. The world is a little bit colder without the warmth of his soul. We were all just a bit better having the privilege of him passing through our lives.

I appreciate all the support and encouragement from you Pat. You were there for me since day one for photography at Lake Central. The best of the best at what he does. I will always be there for your family.

i worked with Pat for several years during my time at FRA.   He was a fine employee, supervisor, but most of all a wonderful person, dedicated to his job and family.  He put a lot of time and effort into his kids being the best they could be, in school and  their athletics.    He will certainly be missed by all of us.  I hope and pray his family will find comfort in the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Pat Damron was a good man, and he was a family man first and foremost. He loved his wife and children and was always a proud dad & husband. He was passionate about his career and worked tirelessly to make the railroads a safer place for all. I will always remember our 10-hour road trip from Atlanta to Cincinnati a few years back. Chris Holt, Pat, and myself. We covered it all on that trip, family, kids, railroads, and life. We laughed the whole way, all because of Pat.  You will be missed, my friend.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Pat.  I haven’t seen him since high school, but I remember him exactly how everyone describes him.  It’s great to know he hasn’t changed a bit over the years and was able to continue to share the kindness and joy he did back then.  Thanks for all the good memories my friend, the world truly lost a great human being!  Our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family during this sad time.

As a Truman Soccer freshman parent I am sad to never have met Pat but the way Tatumn has welcomed our daughter to her team demonstrates the loving example she grew up with. We are devastated for Megan, Tatumn, Brogan and all that loved Pat. Sending our love.

Coach Damron was truly one of the most positive people I’ve ever met. He always made sure to keep all his players upbeat and ready to practice and play. He always pushed me to be a better player and now that I’m done playing football I will always strive to be as positive as he was. I’ll always keep my favorite saying of his in my head “in the club”. Hearing those words always put me in a good mood and he will be greatly missed. ❤️❤️❤️

From on to off the field he’s always gave the best advice and told the best stories of his days in college football. Forever going to miss the ecstatic energy he gave during off season weight room days and game days. He was really a great man

Met Pat years ago as our daughters were playing at Schererville soccer. He was such a great soccer dad to be around as we’ve spent many practices and games together. Most importantly he had a big heart and was always supportive of all the kids on the team. He’ll truly be missed!

Pat was one of my favorite people to be around. I was normally in tears, laughing as I listened to him tell stories. He will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure to know him. He was a giant in the railroad industry as well. Pat had an impeccable reputation for saying what needed to be said. Rest on high brother.

Although I haven’t seen Pat in almost 15-20 years, I’m very saddened by this tragic news. 

I’ll always remember him as an extremely kind and jovial human being, as a great athlete, as a gentle giant and for always having a big, infectious smile on his face.

This is terrible news beyond belief. I always saw Pat as the gentle giant with his ever present smile. Can still see him and his dad standing by the fence at the TFS football game, which would provide me a few minutes to chat. My heartfelt sympathies. Meghan, Tatumn and Brogan , Though Don and I had not seen Pat in awhile., he has always remained in our hearts--as  a good friend to our son Eric--from Little League games to TFS football games and after parties, to dances, trips to the Michigan cottage, and to raiding our refrigerator.
