Norman Vincent Swider

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Caroline (nee Wyrick) Swider; sons, David (Cindy) Swider and Gregory (Julie) Stroupe; grandchildren, Joel (Victoria) Swider, Alex (Hollyn) Swider, Christina Swider, Kayla Hogan, Dalton Stroupe and Emilee Stroupe; great grandson, Maxwell Swider; brother, Larry (Jean) Swider; sister, Carmen (Ray) Kujawa; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Virginia Swider and brother, Edward Swider.

Norman was born on May 12, 1930 in East Chicago, IN and was a graduate of Lowell High School. He retired after more than 20 years from Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Company.

Norman was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 3:00 PM (CDT) at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Schererville, IN) with Rev. Stephen Kosinski officiating.

Burial to be held privately by the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of funeral service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
