Joshua James Schutte

Joshua James Schutte, age 22, of Schererville, IN passed away peacefully at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Childrens's Hospital of Chicago with his loving family and extended family at his side. Joshua was born February 1, 1993 to Laura (Schutte) Toberman, who survives, also surviving are his father Steven Toberman; sisters: Jessica and Jenna Toberman; grandparents: Carol and Paul "Fred" Schutte, and Charles and Janet Toberman; aunts and uncles: Paul (Robin) Schutte, Mary (Tom) Vereb, Cathryn (Mike) Engelage, Rebecca (Shane) Heath, Elizabeth (David) Hecimovich, Scott (Andrea) Toberman, Ian Toberman, Kathy Foster, and Karen Keen; many loving cousins, and great aunts and uncles who loved him very much. Josh was a 2011 graduate of Lake Central High School, he then attended Purdue Calumet. He was a positive inspiration to many of his family members, and with the medical staff at Lurie's Children's Hospital. His smile lit up the room, and gave others hope and encouragement. His faith and inner peace will always be comforting to his family. Funeral services will be Monday, June 8, 2015 at Redeemer Lutheran Church (9009 Kennedy Ave. Highland, IN) at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave. Schererville, Indiana) and again Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
