John J. Mescall

John J. Mescall, age 83, of Hammond, IN passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022. John was born February 21, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN. John was an United States Army veteran. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960 as a paratrooper.

Mr. Mescall was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jean Mescall; and his parents, Matthew and Frances Mescall. He is survived by two brothers; daughter, Sandi Mescall Edge; son, Jack Mescal; son, Jeff Mescal; step-daughter, Terri Goodman (John); step-daughter, Darlene Fultz; step-son, Richard Novak (Ginny); step-son, David Novak; grandchildren, Sara Edge, Zachary Edge, Tommy Goodman (Valerie), Tammy Richards (Quim), Johnny Goodman (Kristi), Paul Martinez (Anna), JR Martinez (Mary), Jason Martinez (Michele), Nicolas Mescal, Brandon Mescal, Hailey Mescal, Noah Mescal, Jissica Mescal, Shawn Novak, and Tony Novak, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews, including nephew, Thomas R. Charlton; and niece, Terri Charlton Harris.

The Visitation for friends of the family will be Saturday, April 2nd at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN, beginning at 12:00 noon. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a Committal Service at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
