GERALD F. MORAN "JERRY" MUNSTER, IN Gerald F. Moran, 68, of Munster, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 with family by his side. He was born in Pennsylvania on October 27, 1941 to Francis and Anna (nee Sauer) Moran. Jerry retired from AT&T after many years of dedicated service. He served in the U.S. Army. Jerry enjoyed woodworking and loved his Corvette. He will be cherished and remembered as an "amazing and loving" uncle. Jerry is survived by his very special friend, Faye Cowser; nieces: Linda Tharp, Romaine (Randy) Brown, Tonya Young and April Moran; great nephew, Joseph Tharp; great nieces: Sarah Tharp, Amanda Tharp and Erin Young. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Romaine Barberia; and one brother, George Moran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
