Frank leaves behind his beloved wife of 70 years, Beverly (Pruiett) Cormican; children, Wesley (Linda) Cormican, Jill (Arnie) Andrews, and Dora (Ronald) Sinks; grandchildren, Clayton Cormican, Jennifer Strow, Jenny Andrews, Britany Russell, Lisa Patton, and Kristina Andrews; along with numerous great-grandkids and great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Frances Cormican; brother, Michael Cormican; sisters, Molly Herbst, and Patricia Shaffer; and grandson, Rich Andrews.
Frank had a passion for keeping busy. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956, and was able to retire after many decades of service from Inland Steel. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Leesburg, FL, and was an active member of the Scottish Rite. In his free time, he loved woodworking, playing horseshoes, going fishing, bowling, tending to his garden, and vacationing, especially on cruise ships. His warm smile, big heart, and outlook on life will forever be remembered.
A Public Visitation for Franklin will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A Masonic Service will commence at 11:45 AM, followed by a Celebration of Frank's Life beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial with Military Honors to follow at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Garden of Apostles.
