Cheryl L. Hagarbome

Cheryl Hagarbome, age 62, of Crown Point, Indiana passed away May 24th, 2023. She passed, peacefully, with family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband, William Hagarbome; children, Bradley (Jennifer) Myers, Clay (Megan) Myers, Catherine (Tim) Garcia-Prats; grandson, Simon Myers; mother, Jeanetta Boggess; siblings, Kevin (Theresa) Boggess, Tamara (Todd Duncan) Boggess; many nieces and nephews, and countless other loving family members and friends. She will be joining her father, Marshall Boggess, in eternity. Cheryl loved spending time outside, enjoying her gardens, and entertaining family and friends. It would not be long until you would have the best Bloody Mary in your hand, and sometimes, if you were lucky, topped with a White Castle slider. When she did decided to leave her flowers, you could find her spending time with her girl friends in Galena, at Fricke’s living it up, or more than likely, out shopping for her meals that could feed an army. She loved her recipes and to share them, especially with her grandson, Simon, who was always ready to jump in and help her bake over-the-top Christmas cookies (or decorate them). Nothing mattered more in her life than her kids, especially during the holidays where she would go all out anytime they were around. Making every 4th of July or Christmas memorable with games, stockings filled to the brim, and themed menus. She will be missed, but our family is grateful to know that she is at peace. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you plant a lily in her honor. For those who can attend the services, bulbs will be provided. Finally, grab a shot of ice-cold, menthol Dr. McGillicuddy’s and raise it in honor of a life well lived, and in celebration of her spirit - led by love, always. A public visitation for Cheryl will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
