Brian D. Greer

Brian Duane Greer, age 67, of Cedar Lake, IN passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 16, 1955, in Gary, IN to Glen Eugene and Carole Lou (Schreiber) Greer. On December 27, 1980, he married Audrey Lynn Hoeckelberg.

He is remembered by those as having an extremely hard work ethic. Brian enjoyed working, keeping busy and helping others. He was a Power House Engineer for 20 years at Lever Bros. Outside of work he was an avid NASCAR fan and loved traveling to the various racetracks. Camping in Michigan, Ohio and wintering in the Florida sun, made him happy. His true smile came from time and memories created with his grandchildren, Bianca and Levi. His direct sense of humor and outlook on life kept him refined and a simple man. His generosity lives on in those who were touched by his never-ending spirit to help others.

Brian leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Audrey Greer; two sons, Nathan (Katie) Greer, Adam Greer; two grandchildren, Bianca and Levi Greer; Mother, Carole Lou Greer; two brothers, Keith (Rita) Greer, Mark (Peggy) Greer, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Greer, and brother, Dale Greer.

A public visitation for Brian will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. A funeral service will begin at 3:30PM at the funeral home. Brian's brother, Keith Greer will be officiating the service. A private committal will occur at a later date.
