Betty J. Murray

Betty J. (nee Munsell) Murray age 82, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (late Douglas) Machalk, Veleda (fiancé Jaffa Fulwood) Greer and Kimberly (Frederick) Earl; son, Richard (Renee) Foss; grandchildren, Christopher Chandler, Breanna (Sabrina Ithal) Greer, Dezarae (Max) Farias and Chris Langwinski; great grandchildren, Savannah (Nate) Richards , Karley Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Max Farias Jr., Cameron Greer, Stevie Lynn Farias, Harley Rose Farias, Easton Richards, Gavin Richards, CeJay Chandler, Ethen Chandler, Devin Chandler and Conner Machalk; sister, Vi (late Joe) Mayfield; brother, Charles (Minnie) Munsell; many nieces nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by grandson, Eddie Wilson; siblings, Faye Arthur, Martha Rogers, Mary Craven and Bill Munsell. Betty was born February 18, 1937 in Wickliffe, KY to the late Robert and Mel Vinnie Munsell. She enjoyed taking care of children and was a nanny to many children. Betty was an active member of her church. Betty was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Pastor James Gambill officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
