Barbara Meier

She is survived by her children, Dawn (Glenn) Angel and Fred (Lynnie) Meier; her grandchildren, Steve Kibler, Samuel Meier, and Ashlynn Angel; and her great-grandchild, Mason.

She is preceded by her loving husband Norman; her sisters, Sue Ruttledge, Sibyl Love, Doris Johnson, and Betty Hendon.

Barb was born on June 25, 1940 to the late Troy and Clara Clerice Studdard. She was a registered nurse at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, IN for 25 years. Barb was the Valedictorian of her nursing class at Purdue University. She was a devout Christian and Bible Study scholar. Barb enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was endearingly called Aunt Barb by all her friends, family, and "favorites."

A visitation for Barb will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307, with a funeral service to follow at 2:30 pm. A private burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
