The son of the late Madelyn (Gach) Schwartz and Joseph Schwartz, William was born on January 10, 1956, in Queens, NY.
William was a well-respected figure in the construction industry, having owned and operated his own company for more than 20 years.
William was described by his family and friends as a kind, intelligent and generous man who loved to make others laugh. In his spare time, he loved to cook, spend time outdoors, and sail on the Hudson River. He was a proud life member of the Croton Yacht Club, past Commodore and current Board member. His presence will be missed.
He is survived by his siblings: Kenneth Schwartz, Karen (Schwartz) Schoembs and her husband Richard Schoembs, and Thomas Schwartz; and his children: Alexandra (Schwartz) Seay and her husband Tyson Seay, Nicholas Schwartz, Benjamin Schwartz, Jonathan Schwartz and his wife Amanda (Howald) Schwartz; dearly missed by Pamela Schwartz, mother of his children and close friend, and his grandchildren; Matthew Clark and Reagan, Logan and Sadie Seay. William is also survived by nieces and nephews and their children whom he loved.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at Holy Name of Mary, 110 Grand St, Croton-On-Hudson, NY, 10520.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Saturday November 9th, 2024, at the Croton Yacht Club, 6 Elliot Way, Croton-On-Hudson, NY, 10520.
