Roxanne Torres of Croton-on-Hudson, NY passed away with family by her side on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the age of 52. Roxanne was born to Jose and Edwina (Bonsoe) Gerena on October 9, 1965 in the Bronx, NY. She was a teacher in Ossining and the Bronx but most recently in the Hendrick Hudson School District. Roxanne was a member of the Revelation Gospel Choir and recorded the song, “Under the Blood”.
Roxanne is survived by her beloved husband Carmelo Torres and cherished daughters Danielle Tom and her husband Hunter, and Caitlyn Torres. She will be deeply missed by her mother Edwina, sister Yvette Mena and her husband Javier, brother Joseph Gerena and his wife Aleah, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
