She couldn’t wait for Lucas’ arrival and helped prep and pick out stuff. Every night she rubbed my belly and said goodnight multiple times, something I would wonder if she’d forgot she had already said goodnight but deep down I knew she kept holding on to every moment we had together. 

I love her outlook on life, her positive disposition, and her caring nature. Her soul was gentle and fragile, but her strength was also fierce. 

Mom loved nature and admired the small things in life. 

My mom loved children. I couldn’t wait to see her holding her first grandchild. Sadly that never happened. Here she is seen holding my friends daughter.

Memories? Too many to list! I owe her my life! Her along with grandma were my first heroes. I never missed not having my mother with me or a dad thanks to them. One of the best memories I will have is being a little girl and waiting for my aunt to come home and get off the bus to see what surprise she got me. Every single day my aunt would bring me something, anything from a piece of gum, a bon bon bum, tictacs to hard boiled eggs served at the cafeteria where she worked. I slept “a su rincón” until she got married. Even when she had her own child when I was 11, I never felt any less import to her. She may not have given birth to me, but I was her first child. 
Tía nunca en la vida te voy a olvidar, gracias por haber sido siempre tan buena conmigo, aún cuándo no lo merecía y por nunca haberme dado la espalda.
