Auntie, thinking about you today and every day.  It was such a shock to hear about you being called home. You are truly missed by your girls, son in-laws, grandchildren and all your niece's and nephew's. Especially your favorite one. (Me). Until we meet again.

Norma had a listening ear and a gift of encouragement; especially in the words she'd write. Over the past year, I have come across her FB replies on My Memories posts; touching words filled with love and affirmation.  She had such a beautiful soul and loved each person God sent to her...many called her mom.  Although she is missed she is now with our Lord Jesus where she has no more pain and suffering but only focused love, joy, worship, and adoration before His throne forever more.   Sail on silver lady and dance before Him Norma dance!!!

I've known Norma since 2000 when I moved back to Croton.  I called her "Auntie Norma" too although I'm only four years younger.  She made all of us Grandstand regulars feel like family and genuinely cared about all of us.  She really had a knack for eliciting your stories!  She was sort of my personal shrink at times.  Was so easy to talk to her because you knew she cared.   So sad she's gone.  I miss her.  

Just found out my friend Norma passed away. So sad. Wonderful lady. We worked many elections together, and she served me quite a few beers, at The GrandStand many years ago. I was always very happy to see her and always have her a big hug. I will miss my friend

My sincerest condolences.  Just wanted to leave a note letting you know how much I appreciated Norma's sweet comments to me, and for instantly making me feel like we were family.  She meant a great deal to a great many.

We can not put in words how much your Mom meant to the Galbraith Family.   After our mom died, Norma was our constant link to Croton and the special friendship both couples created. 
How that angel on earth still made each of us feel part of her extended family and help keep those wonderful memories alive for us.  I felt like she always had a direct line to heaven thru her loyal love and remembrance. 
 Norma was always there for us (what a texter! always keeping up with our lives), and especially me.  Our hearts truly break for the loss of this truly special soul and mom.  How grateful and blessed we were to have visited with her on our last trip to NY.   Heaven is truly rejoicing, the bar seats are filled, jute box is on, and the dancing has just begun.  Norma is back with that ol' gang of hers and her beloved Russ.   Hugs and prayers to you each, what a wonderful legacy you are left with.

Church service was beautiful with your  family’s participation and words of love. 
Under the large tree was a perfect spot ~next to Russ and I noticed many butterflies swarming around. 
The yacht club felt like you were sitting at your favorite table taking it all in as we all sat around and shared stories of you my dear friend.

The stories will keep you alive in our hearts & soul.

Norma always had an ear to listen. Generosity beyond belief.  She had a grand sense of humor.   Her kind hearted spirit will hold a special place in my heart.   Be with the angels Norma.

Norma was a special lady, a real treasure, and a genuine Matriarch! A mother to 100s!  We had some great chats on on the phone but mostly on FB messenger where we sent goodnight funny emojis back and forth, she always sent the last one.    A sweet lady whose legacy will live on through every life she touched.  Goodnight Norma RIP you will be missed by many. 

To Norma’s family, 
Your Mom was soooo loved in this community because of her kindness and her love of people. She impacted many lives.  Norma has left this world a better place and has left her mark embedded in Croton legacy.  She was such a wonderful friend and so kind to my Dad (Herb Harper).  I’m sure she is rounding up the group and getting them united again.  A toast to Norma!  May she Rest In Peace .  

Norma was such a sweet and kind lady who made friends with everyone. Her pictures on Facebook were always so enlightening. She and Russ were the perfect couple. 

There are so many memories I have of Norma, but I will always remember how she listened when I needed someone to talk to. She was a wonderful kind, funny , and generous woman.  She's with Russ and a lot of old friends now.  I am across the country and will miss her memorial, but I will be thinking of her.  



Mamma Mia, I will never forget the times we spent sharing and laughing and chatting together and all the games we played.  Our Saturday morning calls were a blessing to me and got me through some of the most difficult of times!   I will miss you forever but get some measure of comfort knowing you are with Russ, the love of your life.  Thank you to her family (who she loved so much and was so proud of) for sharing your one in a million matriarch with me.
