I never forget Marisa. She was the epitome of class, compassion, and courage. Working with her was an honor for me. No one was more professional and a dynamo than Marisa. She would share her poems with me all the time. I feel a very deep loss without her.

I think about my wonderful cousin, Marisa,  not only on this day but I always seem to find triggers of her memory.  I think of her when I read a good book, listen to an inspirational quote, cook a good meal or think about Scotland. I miss her intellect and passion for learning,  her zest for life and her devotion to family. Always in my heart.❤️

Although, we worked together in-studio at BronxNet.  Our spirits connected as Sistahs.  That being said, I’d like to share this past week she has been visiting my thoughts so  frequently to the point images of us started to present themselves.  So, in  light of our deep connection I will be lighting a white candle for her Spirit and invite you all to do the same.  Marisa has always been a very  profound & direct individual and it appears she remains as such even in spiritual form.  I miss her deeply. She is LOVED!

Marisa will never be forgotten. Extremely hard working, talented, loving, and giving of herself, Marisa had a driving and infectious personality that brimmed over with curiosity and goodness. I had the honor of meeting Marisa when I took my students to Lehman College for their broadcast journalism internship. She would love working with them and all of her students. Her daughters are following in her shoes all the time and she would be so proud of them. I know she is looking down on Ray, Amelia, and Tessa. Miss you, Marisa, Always! Love, Roseanne

Marisa was a colleague of mine at Lehman College. We mostly worked together there on the annual Pacheco Latin Music & Jazz Festival. Not only was she a consummate pro but Marisa also always made the proceedings fun...we had a great time together along with the rest of the production team! 
I was very saddened to hear of her leaving us so soon, and it seemed suddenly to me as well as I was unaware of her illness. I offer you my sincere condolences. Marisa lives on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her.

I was integrated there as an "Intern" & "Independent Journalist". I was originally 'introduced' their by former Director [James 'Jim'  Carney], my Media Relations Professor at The College of New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY). I met Intern Coordinator [Marisa Massimino-White], along with Outreach Director [Audrey Duncan], and current Bronxnet TV Director [Michael Max Knobbe]. I loved and miss [Marisa Massimino-White]. I met Marisa back in 2013. She was the definition of a hard working person and she truly cared about her students/interns. Marisa would always be honest with you. 

RIP Marisa! Thank you for allowing me to intern at BronxNet. I learned so much working behind the scenes because of you. My condolences to Marisa’s family.

I knew Marisa as a fellow mom in our district where our girls became good friends being in the same grade.
 She was a remarkable woman and loved her family and always had a smile on her face when we would see each other at school functions or in the neighborhood. She had an uplifting take on life and an infectious humor that came across. She’ll be missed! 
Our girls we’ll continue to be friends and our door is always open! Stay strong!

My condolences to Marissa Family. It's very sad to  know she passed away. Marisa was a wonderful fine lady,  excellent co-worker and friend at Bronxnet Television where I had the opportunity to meet her for the first time. We'll  never forget you Marisa.  R.I.P.

I met Marisa over 25 years ago when she came to BronxNet to teach television production classes. She always had a way of reaching and inspiring students from many backgrounds.

Marisa was an energetic, spirited leader who saw the potential in people - particularly youth - and encouraged them to bring forth their best.

She loved to speak about her family, and the great nurturing she provided along with her husband Ray, is evident in her daughters Amelia and Tessa who are also using their intelligence to help make the world better.

I will always remember Marisa's direct approach and her passion for generating insightful conversations about a wide variety of issues that impact us all.

My deepest sympathy to Ray, Amelia and Tessa. Marisa and I met at Circle School volunteering on the School Committee loving everything and anything to do with our children. She was a beautiful, caring, loving and funny and oh so talented spirit. I took such pride in telling people my friend won an Emmy! I loved and will miss our chats grabbing coffee at the Black Cow. I was very sad to read today of Marisa's passing in the Lehman Provost's message. I work at Lehman in the same building (different dept.) as Marisa. I barely knew her, but I'm compelled to share the following.  Always seeing Marisa surrounded with eager students I stopped her in the hall 8 years ago and introduced myself because my son, then a recent college graduate, was interested in film/TV production.  Without knowing him-- or me-- Marisa immediately provided helpful information, and graciously offered to meet with him. Ever since that brief conversation Marisa and I would say hello in the hallway. It was obvious how dedicated she was to her students, and to her field. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to her family for their loss.  

I am terribly saddened to hear of the loss of Marisa White, a bright light of humanity that I had the great pleasure to know. I worked with Marisa in her capacity as producer at Bronxnet, and later, had the extreme privilege to hire her as a full-time faculty member when I was Dean of Arts and Humanities. Marisa was a generous, funny, smart, talented teacher and colleague; I can only say that her family and those of us lucky enough to call her friends will miss her sorely forever. Godspeed, dear Marisa. Heavenly creature.

I was just informed of Marisa’s departure to heaven by Michael Knobbe this evening.  I am devastated for this news to be true.  As Bronxnet producer and frequently invited guest, Marisa always greeted me warmly no matter how busy she was.  I always felt at home speaking with her.  From God we come and to Him is our return.  My sincere condolences to her family and her extended Bronxnet family.  I truly want her husband and daughters to know how special she was to so many people who had any dealings with her.   We love her forever and will continue to pray for her and her family until we meet her in heaven.   May she enjoy her dwelling in paradise.  

I was fortunate to have Marisa as a student as she earned her M.S. in Communication at The College of New Rochelle. Marisa was a joy—intelligent, warm, a natural communicator & leader. She was one of our best! I will miss her joy & friendship. 

I met Marisa M. White at BronxNet back in 2005, second to Michael Max. 
She served as the voice of reason. 
She guarded us ALL at the network.

Our relationship was one of sisters who fought but love on each other. 
In, our differences she always reminded me of how much I needed her, for she kept my flighty thoughts and ways, grounded... And, would provide Mommy advice based on her being ahead of the game.

We understood each other after so many years of being together that we could communicate solely with our eyes.  My daughter referred to her as ‘ZIA’ (Auntie in Italian)as they too had their own relationship based on Charm Vida practically being raised in the studio.

She was a loving, comical, & tough nurturer, who served as BronxNets  intern coordinator and was later promoted to creative service director. She is responsible for the many success stories of young media professionals making it into mainstream media.

Marisa touched many people through her smile, sense of humor, wisdom, poetry & photographs. She was an artist expressing her joys and feelings through her writings and photos, of people & nature. Cape Cod was her happy place. She and the family were wholly welcomed there by the extended CC family.  Marisa did everything with energy and commitment right up to the last days of her life. May she Rest In Peace and be joined by her deceased family members. God bless the White clan as they learn a new way without Marisa leading the way. We are grateful for having known this family.

Marisa was a deep soul, full of expression, full of dreams, full of kindness, and full of love. All these attributes and countless more came through in her writings. I remember when she wrote a poem about her dad. It was spectacular! She would never think her poetry was good, but I knew otherwise. To have her share herself with me so much through her most personal, written reflections was truly a gift. Her ambition in everything she did will sustain me. Her smile and voice were infectious. You have left this earth but you are a star in Heaven. Love you, Marisa.
