Margaret (Gray) Ewing

Margaret M. Ewing (Gray) a life-long Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024, at the age of 97. She was born on September 28, 1926, to Bernard Charles Feeny and Margaret Veronica Feeny (Reagan).

Margaret, was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her devoted children: Eileen Gray (Mark), Marybeth Gray-Hussey (Michael), Janet O’Connor (Denis), and Clare Gray Tussel (Stephen). Margaret was predeceased by her son, Christopher B. Gray whose memory she held dear. She leaves behind her sister, Jean Nelson, who shared many precious memories with her over the years.

Margaret's legacy continues through her seven beloved grandchildren: Regina, Matthew, Meghan, Trevor, Kevin, Samantha, and Jacob. Her great-grandson, Rory, brought immense joy into her life.

A proud graduate of Croton High School, Margaret embarked on a career as a secretary for Metro North before becoming a Guidance Secretary for the Croton Harmon School District. Her dedication to her work and her community left a lasting impact on those she served.

Margaret M. Ewing (Gray) will be fondly remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and selfless devotion to her family. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May her soul rest in peace.

A visitation in loving memory of Margaret M. Ewing (Gray) will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 4-8PM at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, located at 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10AM at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Following the Mass, Margaret will be laid to rest at St. Augustine Cemetery in Ossining, NY.
