Gerald J. Stone

Gerald J. Stone, a longtime resident of Croton-on-Hudson, NY passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the age of 73. Gerald was born on July 6, 1945 and raised by his father James Stone and mother Dora Stone. Gerald is survived by his wife and partner of 20 years Celeste Ursillo Baxter Stone, his friend and step-son Thomas Baxter, and his cousin and half-brother Gabe Clark.

Gerald prided himself on being an excellent worker. He worked for over 20 years as a Vehicle Coordinator at Community Living Corporation in Mt. Kisco, NY. Gerald enjoyed gardening and lawn care. He could fix anything and was known as a “Mr. Fix It” around the house. He enjoyed teaching his step-son Tommy about home maintenance including plumbing and electricity. He was a marksman and enjoyed the challenge of target shooting but a lover of animals and would never hurt one. He enjoyed the companionship of his dog Smokey and his cat Pilot.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Chapel of the Good Shepard, Croton on Hudson, NY with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
