Dorothy Becker

Dorothy Becker, of New York and Florida, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. She was born to Louis and Sadie Goldfarb on January 28, 1922 in the Bronx, N.Y. She had a passion for wildlife and took great joy experiencing nature through her camera lens. While living in Florida, she worked as a docent for the Dreher Zoo, in West Palm Beach.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of Hy Becker, cherished mother of Ken Becker (Linda) and Janice Becker (Alan Lighty), loving grandmother of Kate Becker (Stuart Oliver), Jodie Becker, Lacey McCrie (Hugh), and Mathew Lighty, adored great grandmother of Annabelle and Zoey McCrie, sister to Sidney Goldfarb (Ann) and Fay Goldfarb, and aunt to Ylain Mayer (Donald), Carol Feder (Steve), Sari Lapin(Jeff), Brian Mayer (Jane), Darren Feder (Faith) Greg Feder, (Rachel) and Stacey Seidenberg (Rick).

A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2016, 1 P.M. at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, N.Y. Committal is private. Entombment will be in Florida.
