Phillip Lee Hostetter

He was born December 15, 1939, in Fayette County, the son of Phillip Reece and Effie Lee Hostetter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Judith L., brothers, Richard, Rodney, Gary, Allan, Gerald, and sister, Silvia Hager.

Phillip was a retired pipefitter employed with McJunkin Corp. and later Mountaineer Fabricators. He was a US Army veteran having served in Germany. Phillip was master of many talents. He loved the outdoors, camping and gardening. A loving, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Robert Thomas and wife Sonya, of Snellville, GA, daughter, Carrie Hostetter, of Navarre, FL, granddaughter, Kaycie Hays, grandson, Robert Thomas, III, and great grandson, Eli Hays.

Celebration of Phillips life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home with Pastor Richard McCallister officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
