Kenneth L. Boggess, 83, of Cross Lanes, WV went home to be with his Lord August 25, 2017 after a short illness. He was born on May 14, 1934 in Dunbar, WV, a son of the late O.B. and Dolores Bocco Boggess. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School and retired from Carbide/Rhone-Poulenc. He was formerly a long time member of Perrow Presbyterian Church and a weekly viewer of Hal Lindsey. Kenny Loved our Lord Jesus Christ and his family. He loved hunting with his brothers, brother-in-law and nephews; singing, dancing and telling stories. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Boggess of Cross Lanes, Traci McKinney and son-in-law David of Lakeland, FL and Micki McAboy of Cross Lanes; granddaughter, Kristin Reuschel and grandson-in-law William of Orlando, FL; sister, Jean Lindsey and brother-in-law Doug of Nitro, WV/ Melbourne, FL; cousins, Fonnie Kopshina of Stonewood, WV and Norma Kay and Jess Scott of Teays Valley; sisters-in-law, Marion Boggess of Cross Lanes, Artie Boggess of Dunbar and Jean Boggess of Southport, NC; nieces and nephews, Carol, Rick, Judy, Penny, Teri, Tim, Pat, Rose, Dougie, Missy, Matt, Jonathan, Butch and Mike and all of their children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Sue Boggess and his brothers, Harry, Bill, Jack, David, and Norman “Poochie” Boggess. The family would like to thank Dr. James Lohan, Dr. Robert Heron, Dr. Whitney Loggins, Student Dr. Dylan Carroll and Dr. Debra Cotes: A special thanks to the nursing staff at CAMC 3rd Floor North, especially Ashley, Theresa, Susan, Debbie and Megan for the wonderful care during his stay; and Charleston Hospice, Kim Cyrus. His daughters especially thank our family and friends for the continuing out pouring of love and support they and their father have received. Services will be held on Saturday, Sept 2 at 12:00 p.m. at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
