She was born in Clay County, WV on November 22, 1951 to James M. and Lucille M. (Dawson) Wooddell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ella Mae Stewart and Patricia Roush, brothers Robert, Kelly, Homer and Jimmy Wooddell.
She attended Poca High School, and was a proud Poca Dot. Drema was a member of Starcher Baptist Church, where she was a Past Deaconess and helped obtain the singer's for their sings.
She retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her son, James "Jimmy" , daughter Belinda King, her grandchildren that she loved very much, Trever (Hannah) Carly and Joseph Cunningham and Justin King, brothers, Harry (Wendi) Wooddell, of Winter Haven, FL, Arthur (Buck) Sheila Wooddell, sisters, Cledith (Carl) Beard, of Cross Lanes, Joy (Randy) DeMoss, of Birch River, her nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Celebration of Drema's life will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 16, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Moore and nephew Pastor Art Wooddell officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank her longtime friend Ann McClure for her daily visits with Drema, Encompass Rehab and Teays Valley Center.
