He was born November 7, 1948 in Charleston, the son of Charles and Jean Bisel Cooper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Carla Cooper Meadows, and step daughter Jessica Lawson.
David was in retail management for over 30 years. He was a US Navy Veteran and loved to fish. A loving father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Michelle McFarland, and granddaughter, Alexis McFarland, both of Sissonville, step daughter, Natalie Andrews, of VA, and sister Brenda Shadrick, of St Albans.
Celebration of David’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville with Military Graveside Rites conducted by St Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
