Charlotte was born on November 5, 1955 in Charleston, WV to the late Martha and Vernon Snyder. She was preceded in death by Gary, her loving husband of 49 years.
Charlotte was a retired cook with Kanawha County Schools. Where she spent 20 years touching the lives of many children treating them as her own. She was very involved in the community. Her work at the Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department was instrumental in raising money to build the Community Building. Charlotte’s love of pets was evident in the pet store “Charlotte’s Critters” that she owned for several years. Charlotte was also a dedicated member of the JOUAM Council 128, in St. Albans. But with all of the jobs she had, the one she loved the most and the reason she lived was taking care of her family.
Charlotte is survived by her children Neva Douglas (Steven), Gary Lacy Jr., Crystal Ennis (Donnie), Bobby Lacy (Michelle), step-daughter Trena Bryant (John), grandchildren Alex Lacy, Jason Douglas, Brittany Lacy, Gary Lacy III, Nicholas Hooker, Mackenzie Hooker, Mark Lacy, Emma Lacy, Ethan Lacy, Caitlin Bryant, Tyler Bryant, sisters Phyllis (Lonnie Dale), Donna Simpkins, Rosa Mays, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her four legged kids Baby and Prissy.
Celebration of Charlotte’s life will be Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 1:00pm at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV with Pastor Andy Shamblin officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home until the start of the service.
