Carl Vernon Addison

Vernon was born November 26, 1929 in Twin Branch, WV to the late Beecher Wilby Addison and Jesse Sue Ellen Henderson Addison. In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by siblings, Bill, Donald, and Delores.

Vernon was an Army Veteran, having served at the Pentagon, retired from Union Carbide, and was member of the Nitro Church of God. Vernon especially enjoyed wood working, making clocks, tables, and doll houses.

Left to cherish his memory are loving wife of 73 years, Jo Anne Gammon Addison; children, Karin Jack, Carl Addison Jr. (Valerie), and Melissa Addison Kistler (Keith); grandchildren, Matt Addison, Steve Addison, Angela Walker, Lexie Troschinski, Sarah Zimmerman, Beth Kistler, Sam Jack, Olivia Jack, Katherine Jack, and Will Jack; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes with Dr. Carl Addison Jr. officiating. Private burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
