Steven Michael Thornhill

He was born October 27, 1972 in Pekin to George “Mike” and Linda “Ma” (Goodman) Thornhill.

Surviving are his mother, Linda “Ma” Thornhill of East Peoria; one brother, Brian (Elaine) Thornhill of East Peoria; one sister, Stacy (Allen) Fuller of South Pekin and his dear nephews, Brody Fuller and Nick Buck.

He was preceded in death by his father, George “Mike” Thornhill and his sister, Michelle Lee Thornhill.

Steve was an avid racecar enthusiast, whether building or racing slot cars to enjoying a good old dirt track race.

He was a big collector of cards for baseball, football, hockey and enjoyed sorting and researching all of the players.

Anyone who knew Steve knew his love for his family. He truly enjoyed being with family for cookouts, long talks and just being around each other.

His faith in God carried Steve throughout life and his passion to help others find their path with the Lord was always Steve’s mission.

His funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Robert Finley will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following services.
