Born September 20, 1954 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Sterling Sylvester and Naomi Ruth (Williams) Harryman, she married Rev. Ronald E. Talbot on August 6, 1983 in Tupelo, Mississippi. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Matthew (Crystal) Talbot of Pekin; two daughters, Brittney Nyabuto of Creve Coeur and Alisha (Dale) Halverson of Pekin; a son-in-love, Paul Nyabuto of Chicago; one special daughter, Clara Talbot of Creve Coeur; 12 grandchildren; five brothers, David (Barbara) Harryman of Dawson Springs, Kentucky, Joseph (Shirley) Harryman of Pensacola, Florida, Charles (Michelle) Harryman, Wendel Harryman, both of Madisonville, Kentucky and Dr. James Harryman of Fairbanks, Alaska and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Cynthia Louise Spears.
A graduate of Dawson Springs High School, Sandra attended Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo, Mississippi and then graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Christian education from Jackson College of Ministries in Jackson, Mississippi.
She first taught at Tupelo Christian Academy for three years and then was a teacher and supervisor for Christian Life Academy in Creve Coeur for 40 years. She also worked for Wal-Mart in Pekin for the last 19 years, first in fabrics and last in Customer Service. She had previously worked at Sears.
Sandra was passionate about sewing, her grandkids and singing. She was devoted as a follower of Jesus Christ and supporting her husband in Christian ministry. Sandra had the gift of interpreting and signing for deaf ministry and in earlier years did signing for schools in Jackson and Tupelo, Mississippi. She even did signing and interpreting on television for the local news in Mississippi in earlier years.
She was a member of Christian Life Church in Creve Coeur.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor David Brown and Sister Melody Albanito will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
