Born August 23, 1956 in Greenville, South Carolina to Alfred James “Jim” and Minnie Jean (Dillard) Claudin, she married Robert “Rob” Rudolph Hoffman on March 8, 1975 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mandi Hoffman of Peoria and Kori (Zack) Smith of Panama City Beach, Florida; one son, Jeff (Heather) Hoffman of Peoria; seven grandchildren, Bradley Kuhlman, Katie, Ashlyn and Noah Hoffman and Kaleb, Khloe and Kinzy Smith and one brother, Dale Claudin of Waterloo, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Pat Claudin.
Robin had been a hairdresser for 35 years, working out of her home and retiring in 2018. She had also worked for several years as the Floral Manager at Krogers in Peoria.
She was a second mom to everyone she knew. She loved to laugh, spend time at the beach and flowers, especially white tulips.
Robin was a former member of Bayview Baptist Church in Washington.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate. A gathering celebrating Robin will be Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the American Legion in Bartonville from 2 to 5 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
