

Born November 22, 1949 in West Plains, Missouri to Garel and Vivian (Creek) Adams, he married Sharon Cochran on April 26, 1969 in Peoria.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years; one daughter, Natalie (Shawn) Robison of Washington; two sons, Shannon (Dawn) Adams and Jonathan (Lisa) Adams, both of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Kylie (Cole Terry) Adams of Lacon, Whitney (Larry Holly) Adams of St. Pete, Florida, Adam (Hannah) Robison of East Peoria, Gabriel Robison of Washington, and Cole and Chase Adams, both of Bloomington; two great-grandchildren, Chandler Terry and Elliana Holly and two brothers, Ken Adams of Lacon and Dennis (Deborah) Adams of West Plains, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dean was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War.
He had worked for 20-plus years in maintenance for the United States Postal Service.
An outdoorsman, Dean loved fishing and hunting. He thoroughly enjoyed being present and helping his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
His private graveside service will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in East Peoria. Military rites will be provided by the United States Army and Tazewell Military Rites Team.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
