He was born March 16, 1964 in Pekin to Don and Della (Camp) Veerman. They survive.
Also surviving are three sons, Brett (Melissa) Walton of Germantown Hills, Andrew (Lindsey) Veerman of College Station, Texas and Chris (Ashlynn) Veerman of New Braunfels, Texas; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Cameron, Broderick, Cooper, Owen, Dillon and Olivia; two sisters, Donna Young of Folkville, Alabama and Doreen (Paul) Briles of Davenport, Iowa. Dan is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Nellie Veerman and his maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Frank Camp.
He pursued his passion and love for cars for over 40 years. His favorite past time was talking to his boys and watching car auctions after a long day of work. After raising three sons, he lived the remainder of his life in Creve Coeur with his two cats.
A memorial service celebrating Dan’s life will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Bethel Memorial United Church of Christ in Creve Coeur. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement.
