Robert (Rudy) Adolph Alvarez, 93, was born in Lafayette, Colorado on May 30, 1927 to Miguel and Josephine Alvarez. He attended and graduated from Oak Creek High School and Master Electrician School. Rudy is a military Veteran of the United States Marines, worked in many coal mines as an electrician and miner, served as United Mine Workers Secretary, worked for many independent electrical contractors and was a business owner for Bob’s Electric and Snake River Electric. Rudy leaves to cherish his memory; his wife Elaine Alvarez, children Toni (Angelo) DiLullo, Bob Alvarez, Shirlene White, Joe Alvarez, Glenn (Sophia) Alvarez, Scott Herold, Chris (Doral) Herold, and Lexine (Bob) Davis, 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Rudy is preceded in death by his daughter (Shirley), his parents Miguel and Josephine and siblings Henrietta, Mary and Leopold, first wife (Shirley) and grandson (Robert). A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Oak Creek. Interment will follow in Oak Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Creek Tracks and Trails in care of Grant Mortuary.
