Nigel is survived by his mother Debbie Gross of Craig, CO, his father and stepmother Doug and Ann Aaberg of Scituate, MA, his brother Ian Aaberg and wife Stacy of Framingham, MA, his stepbrother Robert Gugliotta and wife Melissa of Weymouth, MA, his stepsister Annamarie Trialonas and husband Robert of Forest Hills, NY, nieces Annie, Hazel and Nora, nephew Gavin, and other beloved family.
Nigel is best remembered for his subtle sense of humor, love of animals, affection for sports and vast collection of gnomes. Following graduation from MCHS, Nigel lived and worked in Massachusetts for thirteen years as a land surveyor for several local engineering firms. He returned to live in his hometown of Craig in 2015, enjoying the company of his faithful dog Mya and his many relatives and friends. He was a fisherman, golfer, and dedicated fan of the Miami Dolphins football team, the Chicago White Sox baseball team, and the Boston Bruins hockey team. His vast collection of hats represented the places he visited and his favorite teams.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Grant Mortuary Chapel, 621 Yampa Avenue in Craig, CO. A reception will follow at The Popular Bar. A memorial account has been set up in Nigel's name at The Bank of Colorado.
