Mary Jo Cook was born the daughter of Larry Don and Mary Ann (Mittan) Cook on March 12, 1959 in Grand Island, Nebraska. After residing in Nebraska for a short period of time, the family moved to Englewood, Colorado, where Mary would spend her childhood and attend schools.
Following school, she worked various jobs while taking care of her three children. Before retiring, Mary moved to Craig to be closer to her daughter, Tona. During this time she went to work for the Moffat County School District as a janitor for 13 years.
In her spare time, Mary loved spending time in her garden and going to as many yard sales as possible. She was also a full-time caregiver and loved her client dearly. Above all, Mary was a devoted mother and loving grandma. She will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to love and know her.
Mary is survived by her children: Tona Ogden of Craig, Randall (Michelle) Shaw of Oregon and Amber Palmer of Salt Lake City, UT; and two sisters, Tracie Yates (Thomas) Ludwig of South Carolina and Christy Steerman of Grand Junction. Mary is further survived by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
