June 10 at 8:00 AM Dorothy Janet Simpson went to join her husband Robert, and son Terry in heaven for eternity. Dorothy Janet Simpson was born July 27, 1930 to Glenn and Dorothy Lovelett in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Dorothy was the second of five children, older sister Florine (Herod), Mary (Self), Jack Lovelett, Judy (Swanson). At the age of eleven Dorothy lost her mother becoming an intricate part of the family unit helping raise her little brother and two younger sisters. Dorothy met the love of her life Robert (Bob) when she was a junior in high school. Bob and Dorothy wed May 30, 1948. They had two daughters Barbara and Ellen when they moved to Browns Park. In 1953 they purchased Bull Canyon Ranch from Della Worley. After moving to Bull Canyon Ranch Bob and Dorothy had two more children Terry and Tammy. Bob and Dorothy worked the ranch together. Bob also did various jobs off the Ranch to supplement income while Dorothy took care of the ranch and the kids. The children attended Browns Park School 1st - 8th grade. To avoid the family being split when Barbara reached tenth grade the family moved to Dutch John, UT where Bob worked for the Bureau of Reclamation and Mom became the Post Master until retirement in 1990. In 1990 the couple built Dorothy’s dream home back home, in Bull Canyon where she lived until her death. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack, sisters Mary and Judy, husband Bob, and son Terry.
Survived by; daughters Barbara (Fred), Ellen (Jim), Tammy (Lenard), grandchildren Justin, Tonya, Brandie, Tyson, Chris, Jesse, Melissa, Megan, Audra, 14 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, in Browns Park at Bull Canyon Ranch. A service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
