Robert "Bob" Lee Saux went to heaven on December 21, 2020 at the age of 74 in Covington, Louisiana. He was born on November 22, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Roy L. Saux and Katherine Keller Saux. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Garriga Saux; his sister, Katherine Saux Brandes (husband Paul), and brother, Barry M. Saux (wife Shelia), and predeceased by his brother, Roy L. Saux, Jr.
Bob graduated in 1964 from St. Stanislaus High School and obtained his Bachelor's degree in Business and a Master's degree in Marketing from the University of West Florida. As a U.S. Air Force Veteran (1967-1971), he was proud to serve his country, including his tour of Vietnam. Bob worked 20 years in Marketing & Advertising in Pensacola before returning to New Orleans in 1990 to accept a job with the University of New Orleans in Advertising & Marketing, retiring as Director in 2010 making Covington home in 2006.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, Louisiana. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. with Mass following at 2:00 p.m. Graveside inurnment will be after mass at St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Northshore Food Bank, West 30th Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
