Nicholas Joseph Gagliano

After graduating high school, Nicholas enlisted in the US Navy. His rank being Petty Officer Third Class. He officially left the US Navy on August 27, 2018. In March 2019, he met Shelbey. By February 2020, they moved into their first apartment together. He then joined the Air National Guard – US Air Force with a rank of Senior Airman. In January of 2021, Nick proposed to Shelbey. They wed in a private ceremony late March 2021.

His proudest moment was the birth of his first son, Kellin, in November of 2021. And he was even more excited to welcome his second son, Asher, in July of this year. Nicholas’ passion for life could be seen from a mile away. His smile was contagious, and he made friends everywhere he went. His love for family knew no bounds.

He idolized Superman for his moral compass and strived to “do the right thing”. To his family and friends, he was and forever will be Superman.

Nicholas is survived by his beloved wife, Shelbey Ledet Gagliano; his children Kellin and Asher; He is also survived by his father, David Gagliano, siblings Jonathan Palermo (Daina), David Gagliano Jr (Martina), Dustin Gagliano (Alisia), Braya Gagliano Cuquet (Devin) and Justin Ulrich. He was a wonderful uncle to Justin Parrish, Tristan Sykes, Jacob Parrish, Noah Sykes, David Gagliano III, Sebastian Gagliano, Ava Cuquet, Benjamin Gagliano, Axell Cuquet, Alexander Prince, Adley Cuquet, and Grayson Ledet. He leaves behind many more family and friends that are too numerous to be named.

Nicholas is preceded in death by his mother, Belinda Alleman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be open to the public from at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mandeville Cemetery.
