Judy Lynne (Jones) Jennings

Judy Lynne Jones Jennings, age 77, of Covington, LA, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, after a brief illness. She was born on February 5, 1945 in Anniston, AL and attended Anniston High School and Jacksonville State University. Judy married the love of her life, Rick Jennings in 1964. She worked at Ft. McClellan Credit Union and then became manager of the SuperValu Credit Union. In 1981 she and Rick relocated to Alexandria, LA where she continued her career, becoming a travel agent with Double A Travel, and made many dear friends who became extended family. After retiring in 2004, they moved to Covington, LA to be close to their daughter and son-in-law. Judy enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, spending time with friends, and was an avid Auburn Tigers football fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Franklin Jones and Gladys Gearhart Jones, and in-laws Charles Edward Jennings III and Sarah Hickman Jennings, all of Anniston, AL.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 58 years John Richard (Rick) Jennings, her daughter Michelle Jennings Biggs and son-in-law Edward Hart Biggs III all of Covington, LA; her sister Dona Jones Avery of Valdosta, GA; her cousin Barbara Riffle Parks of Orlando, FL; her brother-in-law Charles Edward Jennings IV and sister-in-law Beverly Benson Jennings of Anniston, AL; niece Wendy Jennings Simpson of Suwanee, GA; and nephew Charles Edward Jennings V and his wife Christin of Jacksonville, FL; and many dear friends who were extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
